The land ethic simply enlarges the boundaries of the community to include
soils, waters, plants and animals, or collectively: the land

Master Planning

Indian Canyons
County of Riverside

The Indian Canyons area has long been recognized as the most significant natural and cultural site in the California desert and the area is internationally known for its unique desert environment.

In the past 13 years, The Dangermond Group has assisted in a variety of land planning and successful acquisition projects for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and Friends of the Indian Canyons, a local non-profit group in the Palm Springs area. Services have focused on land acquisition planning and funding strategies development for land conservation projects that aim to preserve properties with significant cultural and natural resources. The Dangermond Group has worked closely with the tribe to prepare a master plan document for the Indian Canyons Heritage Park that is sensitive to the needs of the tribe but allows for improved visitor experiences of the site.
